About Japan & China
Japan and China come together in this extraordinary journey — a night in Shanghai, an 8-night cruise through two of Japan's most captivating cities, and a return to two of China's most iconic destinations. This trip brings you face-to-face with samurai history, imperial grandeur, and unforgettable modern thrills across five unforgettable cities.
Arrive in Shanghai and check into the Hyatt on the Bund, spending your first evening wandering the lantern-lit lanes of Yu Garden and rising above the skyline from Shanghai Tower before setting sail.
Set sail aboard Spectrum of the Seas, cruising to Kyoto (via Osaka), where more than 1,600 Buddhist temples and the iconic red gates of Fushimi Inari-taisha await. Continue to Tokyo, where ancient tradition meets neon-lit modernity — wander the tranquil Meiji Jingu, explore the fashion-forward streets of Harajuku, and taste your way through the historic lanes of Asakusa.
Return to Shanghai for a full day of your choosing — the fairy-tale magic of Shanghai Disneyland, or a deeper journey through Tianzifang, the French Concession, and the ancient canal city of Suzhou — before boarding high-speed rail north to Beijing.
In Beijing, walk the legendary Great Wall at Mutianyu — one of the New 7 Wonders of the World — and descend the mountain by toboggan for a thrill you won't find anywhere else. Wander the Summer Palace and don traditional Hanfu robes for a photo experience straight out of the Qing dynasty. Close your journey with a Taichi class at the Temple of Heaven, a walk through Tiananmen Square, and a final step inside the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of emperors for nearly 500 years.
This five-city journey connects two of the world's greatest civilizations — the timeless culture of Japan and the imperial grandeur of China. It is an unforgettable chapter in your 7 Wonders in 7 Years adventure.
